Hello

I have some questions about background pictures and how to make everything work.

I will try not to make this more confusing that it is.

I’ve found this theme – with a buildin background picture option.
The picture slides up and down on PC and is just steady on smartphone
– But it looks likes shit on iPhone!

Here’s a link:

Home Page

But on my friends page – she as the same background effect and it works responsive on all platforms.

Frisør

She as used Elementor to create her frontpage.

Can I create the same type of effect with SiteOrigin?
– I have tried with parallex pictures settings ect. but I do not get a full picture
Only like a “bar”

Thanks.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Patrick,

The first linked website is a fixed background and the second site uses a Parallax background. Both are possible using SiteOrigin Page Builder. For an example of this, please refer to this article. To apply this effect to a background image, please open the row or widget you wish to apply it too and head over to the row/widget styles sidebar. Open the Design settings group and set the Background Image Display setting as desired – be sure to also set a Background Image.

Fixed images are more often than note disabled on mobile devices due to very poor performance and compatibility on the vast majority of iOS devices (while it may work on certain models, it looks really bad on the majority of them).

    – I have tried with parallex pictures settings ect. but I do not get a full picture

Please use the Parallax (scaled) Background Image Display setting.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Patrick,

Unfortunately, for this effect to be visible you need to be able to scroll the page. You’ll need to either add additional content to the linked page or apply padding to the row you applied the parallax effect too to allow for it to be bigger. The row size is dependent on the contents of the row and padding (this can be done by opening the row, heading over to the Row Styles and opening the Layout settings group. Set the Padding as desired), it won’t automatically be larger due to setting the Background Image Display setting to Parallax.

    Hi again Alex

    Thanks again!

I try working with the padding
    – And I made it work with fixed background (the one that I wanted)

And with mobil padding, I made it work to fit the families iOS

    Thanks!!
