Features widget dsappeared

The SiteOrign Features, which was working fine until today, stopped appearing, although it’s still there in the WordPress Page.

www.esl.culips.com

I tried to see if any one of active plugins is causing this by deactiving one by one, but that didn’t solve the problem.

Please help.

Thanks
Yoshi

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Tsuyoshi,

Sorry for the delay – sometimes we miss threads and I’m very for that!

Please navigate to WP AdminPluginsSiteOrigin Widgets and ensure that the Features widget is activated. If it’s not, could you clarify what happens when you try and edit the features widget via the page builder?

  2. 7 years, 9 months ago Tsuyoshi “YOSHI” Kaneshima

    Hi Alex, thanks.

I’ve checked and confirmed that the Features widget is activated.

FYI: I have SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle. I also believe I paid for the premium.

Everything for SiteOrigin Widget except for the Features widget is working fine, which used to be working fine too.

The page we have an issue is: http://www.esl.culips.com

We greatly appreciate your help to fix this.

    Thanks in advance.
    Yoshi

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Tsuyoshi,

There aren’t any orders associated with your email. Is there a different email associated with your purchase?

Oddly, when I view the provided link I get redirected to culips.com. Is there something I need to do to stop getting redirected? The icons on redirected website are displaying correctly for me.

    Hi Alex,

I may have bought themes from SiteOrigin instead.I can look up for transaction record.

As for your question. would you try again this link? https://esl.culips.com/
I'm also attaching several screenshots that I thought may help.

This page is missing Features on top, even though I set up Features as below. They used to appear properly.

These are features that stopped appearing.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Tsuyoshi,

Thanks – I’m able to access it now. Although, unfortunately, we’re unable to process email attachments. Can you please send me a copy of the images hosted via a third-party image hosting site such as vgy.me or imgur.com? Sorry about this. I took a quick look around but due to my unfamiliarity with your website I can’t seem to spot a location where there should be a features widget.

  6. 7 years, 9 months ago Tsuyoshi “YOSHI” Kaneshima

Great. I could't upload files to those sites. But I attached the files to this email. Can you open them?

    Thanks a bunch!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Tsuyoshi,

Unfortunately, no. The images need to be hosted externally – we cannot process email attachments on the forum. Sorry mate. :(

Hi Alex, I put the screen shots in Google Drive here. Please take a look.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Tsuyoshi,

Thanks. Oddly, the widget markup is present but the contents aren’t being output for whatever reason. Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Tsuyoshi,

Thanks. Oddly, I’m able to get your layout working without issue on an unrelated server. To clarify, did anything change around the time of this issue occurring?

  14. 7 years, 9 months ago Tsuyoshi “YOSHI” Kaneshima

Hi Alex, the issue occurred about 6 weeks ago. It was working fine previously.

Hi Alex, yes, we do. We can upgrade it to 5.4. I need to double check before doing it. I heard that upgrading PHP could cause unexpected issues.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Tsuyoshi,

It can, yes. However using an older unsupported version of can also have large issues associated with. Ideally, if possible, try updating to 5.6 as that version is actually still supported (and will be until the end of 2018).

  18. 7 years, 9 months ago Tsuyoshi “YOSHI” Kaneshima

    Thanks Alex,

Actually, our PHP Version is 5.4.43.

Would that version be compatible with SiteOrign?

  19. 7 years, 9 months ago Alex S
    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Tsuyoshi,

It is? That’s odd, one of your plugins previously said it was using a version older than PHP 4.3 so that’s why I said. :S
To clarify, there aren’t any known compatibility issues with PHP 5.4+. I was was trying to rule a compatibility issue with an earlier version but if you’re not using that version, it’s no longer relevant – please disregard my question / request.

Can I create a backup of your website for local testing?

  20. 7 years, 9 months ago Tsuyoshi “YOSHI” Kaneshima

Sorry. I looked into this. And it turned out when I checked with our hosting company a little while ago, they changed it to this version. So the current version is 5.4.43.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Tsuyoshi,

    Thanks.
Can I create a backup of your website for local testing? This will allow me to do large scale testing without it affecting your main website.

  22. 7 years, 9 months ago Tsuyoshi “YOSHI” Kaneshima

Hi Alex, yes, as long as it won’t affect our website. Sorry I am not technical.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Tsuyoshi,

    Very sorry for the delay.

Okay, so I was able to resolve this issue locally by reinstalling the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle. To clarify, did you make any modifications to the widgets bundle code?

Regardless, please navigate to WP AdminPluginsInstalled Plugins. Find and deactivate / delete the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle then click Add New. Find and install the SiteOrign Widgets Bundle. Does it work without issue for you now?

  24. 7 years, 9 months ago Tsuyoshi “YOSHI” Kaneshima

Hi Alex, thanks. We didn't make any modifications. I was about to delete the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle after deactivingating it. But I get this message saying "Are you sure you want to delete SiteOrigne Widget Bundle and its data?" Does that mean that I would lose any date and I have to start from scratch? I don't want to cause any other issues or have to start over again.

    Please let me know.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Tsuyoshi,

No, you will not lose any data during the reinstallation process. Let me know how you go mate. :)

  26. 7 years, 9 months ago Tsuyoshi “YOSHI” Kaneshima

    Hi Alex,

Thanks. It worked, but now for some reasons, esl.culips.com gets redirected to culips.com., which is another problem. Do you know how to stop the redirect?

  27. 7 years, 9 months ago Tsuyoshi “YOSHI” Kaneshima

Hi Alex, the issue has nothing to do with SiteOrigin. It was caused by our host, Bluehost's internal issue. Thanks again. and sorry for bringing this to your attention.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Tsuyoshi,

Awesome. Not too sure what happened to cause this issue but I suspect it was a failed update. :(
That’s fine mate, just glad this issue is sorted. :)

  29. 7 years, 6 months ago Tsuyoshi “YOSHI” Kaneshima

    Hi Alex,

The same issue occurred again. The feature widget disappeared, although it's in our WP post.

    Please advise.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Tsuyoshi,

    Based on this file: https://esl.culips.com/wp-content/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/icons/fontawesome/font/fontawesome-webfont.woff2?v=4.6.3

I suspect something has changed the permissions of the assets for the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle. Can you please check via FTP and navigate to wp-content/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/icons/fontawesome/ and then correct the permissions of that file? I would recommend contacting your hosting provider for help with this if you’re not familiar with doing this.
