Featured Images on Posts

Hi! I am trying to disable featured images from displaying on post pages, but of course need thumbnails for post carousel and sharing et. I have unticked the box under theme settings for “Display the featured on single pages” but this does not do it for posts. Additionally I tried CSS but it was from a rather old thread here. Is there something I am missing? It’s a brand new installation with the Corp theme. Thanks!

    The single post setting is located at CustomizeTheme SettingsBlogPost Featured Image.
