Featured Images loading incorrectly – Site Origin Grid Widget

You can see what I am talking about if you visit my website https://www.megadadblog.com and scroll down to the grid/featured post section.

The way the grid is displaying for the most recent two posts does not align with the previous 4 postings and some of the featured images is being cropped out for some reason. The images sizes are the same and I used the same template for all of them – I thought it might be that they were sized differently or the file size was different but that was not the problem.

I found online that sometimes lazy load can have some impact on the way images are displayed on the Site Origin Grid but I don’t think I have any plugin that has this setting.

I’m not a web developer that knows CSS I use no-code solutions and know some HTML so if this requires that kind of thing I’ll need highly detailed instruction.

Alternatively, if someone knows a plugin for a grid I can use that will work properly for the featured images I could just not use the Site Origin grid solution and insert a different grid plugin widget.

    Hi, I Work Here

Hi, thanks for posting your question.

You’ll find the Featured Image Size setting in the Settings section of the Blog Widget. The default for the Grid Template is 720 x 480, the size seen in the first two posts. Did you perhaps add the first two posts after adding the SiteOrigin Blog Widget and the other posts before using the Blog Widget?

Using the 720 x 405 size seen in your posts other than the first two would be best. Is 720 x 405 an available size in your WordPress installation? You can check by editing the Blog Widget, opening the Settings section, and clicking the Featured Image Size drop-down. Please, let me know, and we’ll go from there.

    Thanks again.

    Andrew
