featured image in post sidebar appears huge in actual post

Hi,

My website is not live yet. I uploaded a photo in the featured image,sidebar, as the thumbnail to appear on the Vantage homepage. The thumbnail appears perfect in the post carousel. If you click on the post thumbnail from the homepage the featured image thumbnail photo appears as a huge photo displayed at the top of the post. The photo is not in the actual post only in the featured image sidebar. How do I fix this issue so all my featured images do not appear in the actual post like this? Is there a way to upload a screenshot of the issue?

    You have to go to Appearance -> Theme Settings -> Blog and clear Featured Image.

    add this to custom css

    article.post .entry-header .entry-thumbnail a,article.page .entry-header .entry-thumbnail a {display: none;}.blog .entry-thumbnail { display: none; }article.post.post-with-thumbnail-icon .entry-thumbnail img, article.page.post-with-thumbnail-icon .entry-thumbnail img {    display: none;}

    Hi Gail

    (@teedee, @James, thanks for sharing your solutions, both are very applicable.)

    As @teedee mentioned, we can remove the featured image from single posts by un-checking the Featured Image checkbox under Appearance > Theme Settings Blog. On that same Theme Settings page we can also choose a Featured Image Type. Perhaps try Small Icon there, it might work for you.

    Alternatively you can try the CSS @James sent which would remove your featured image from all the areas you don’t want them. Insert that under Appearance > Custom CSS.
