I was wondering if there was a way to disable the featured image on a per post level?

I like using them on most posts, but I would like to see if I could disable them on certain types of posts.
I saw in a different thread how you can turn them off in the theme settings (i am premium) https://siteorigin.com/thread/post-carousel-widget-image-there-not/, but I would like to be able to do it in each post whether I want them to show or not.
I guess I could just turn them off and then just post the images at the top of each of my posts?

Thanks for reaching out.
There is, unfortunately, no easy way to do this. You could use Custom CSS to hide featured images on certain pages but it would be a hassle. On each post that you wanted to hide the image you’d need to inspect the page source, locate the body class and then add a new line to Appearance > Custom CSS. We can help with this if you’re keen.
The alternative, as you’ve mentioned, would be to manually add images as required.
Ok, that’s no problem. It’s not that hard to put the image at the top of my post if I want it to show. Thanks for the response, I love the Vantage theme and am growing my audience because of it!

If this is a super important feature then a post setting could be introduced into each post edit page to say show featured image or not. It would be a custom development job. We’d recommend https://codeable.io in that event.
