Featured Image dimensions changing?

Hi guys – I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, but my featured images are displaying strangely on archive and post pages. I uploaded them as 720 X 380px but then it sizes them up to 770 X 406px. So I tried to upload them using the larger dimensions, but when I click on the image info, it still says the image is 720 X 380px but scaled up to 770 X 406px. This makes the image look a bit blurry even though it was uploaded in the bigger resolution. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve purchased this theme multiple times for my clients and I love almost everything about it! Thanks!

I also noticed that the issue only applied to the most recent article, but not the first two I did. And when I try to add the newest article in again, the problem reoccurs. I did read that someone else had a similar problem on here, but I didn’t really understand what the solution was. Sorry!

Apologies, but I couldn’t leave the link live because the site isn’t ready yet and Google has already indexed it. Hopefully you can advise without it :)

Yikes – I’m going to sound crazy here, but ignore my second message about it only applying to the most recent article – I had tried just including the image in the body of the article on the others, which kept the right proportions and clarity, but obviously it then wouldn’t add to the featured image thumbnail on the homepage. So I am definitely having the same original problem with all posts. I also downloaded the regenerate thumbnails plugin, which I have used and it doesn’t make any difference (although it helped with some images I uploaded for WooCommerce in a different part of the site!).

Alright – figured it out – I changed the entry-thumbnail img width from 100% to auto.

I hope this helps anyone else who may face the same problem!

    Hi misskm

Really glad to hear you made progress; thanks for sharing your solution with everyone else, that’s always most welcome.

    All the best.
