Fatal error with North theme

Hello,

I’m using the North theme and while testing a product, I received a fatal error message when trying to display the product. I switched to the Vantage theme and my site worked fine, but switching back to North gives me the fatal error again. Perhaps it’s with the theme itself? Please see URL…

Hopefully this can get fixed soon as I’m using the North theme on other websites…

    Hi AztecKid510,

    The linked image doesn’t seem to be working for me. Can you please double check the URL? Sorry about this!

    I apologize for the delayed response.

    Here is the link to the image displaying the fatal error:

    I should also note that I’m using the plugin Fancy Product Designer and when I try to view a product that uses the plugin, I receive the fatal error, but it works when I switch to the Vantage theme. So, I assume it’s an issue with the North theme itself and not the plugin.

    Hi AztecKid510,

    Thanks for the heads up. Sadly, during the transition for WooComemrce 3.0 support, we accidently have broken 2.6 support. We’ll get this corrected in a theme update asap – very sorry about this!

    If you’re unable to update WooCommerce at this time due to compatabiltiy reasons (which is understandable to a degree), please consider downgrading North for the time being by navigating to WP AdminAppearanceThemes and changing to a non-North theme, and then delete North. Click Add NewUpload Theme and upload/activate this version

    Now that I’ve updated North Theme to v1.3.7, I get the fatal error issue on my other website. Can there be an update as soon as possible?

    Hi AztecKid510,

    We’re in the process of working on an update but unfortunately, there’s a lot of unexpected places we have to test so it may be a few days before a release is out. I would recommend following the workaround outlined in my previous reply – it’s not ideal (in the second method) but it’ll prevent this issue for the time being.

    Ok, I will use v1.3.4 until the fix has been released. Thank you very much!

    May I ask where the “Update Totals” and “Apply Coupon Code” button went during checkout in the North Theme? It’s not displayed…

    I should note that it’s displayed on one of my sites, but not the other. Is there a setting I didn’t check in the backend? Or is it with the theme itself?

    Site 2 where it IS displayed:

    Hi AztecKid510,

    For whatever reason, Fancy Product Designer is hiding those buttons. I would recommend reporting this issue to them.

    You can fix this with some custom CSS. If you navigate to AppearanceCustom CSS, you’ll get our custom CSS editor. Add the following CSS.

    .woocommerce-cart.fpd-customization-required .cart [type="submit"] {
    	display: block !important;
    }
    .woocommerce-cart.fpd-customization-required .cart [type="submit"]:disabled {
    	display: none !important;
    }

    You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.

    Ok, I thought it could’ve been an issue with the themes since it didn’t display the buttons on Vantage and North. I see that it displays the buttons after using your CSS code.

    Here is the link where I’ve also asked about this error and it was resolved (for convenience):

    Thank you very much!
