Fatal error when publishing a post.

Hi

I’m facing a problem while I’m trying to build a page in which I put widgets about posts, tags archive ect.

When I publish the page, I can see the post but I get this message below:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Jetpack::is_module_active() in Private Snippetwp-content/themes/vantage/inc/template-tags.php on line 17

I googled it but I find only one reference about this.

Does someone have any suggestion?

I’m using Vantage as theme (not Premium user)
WP and theme are updated.

Thank you

    Hi Maria,

Hm. That’s odd. Are you using the latest version of Jetpack or a Jetpack alternative?

Hi Alex S, thanks for your reply

I tried to use the Jetpack for WP the 4.0.3 version but when I install the plugin it can’t be activated and gives me this:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Jetpack in Private Snippetwp-content/plugins/jetpack/class.jetpack.php on line 25

    Hi Maria,

Okay so that looks like you have either a jetpack equivalent or a plugin using the jetpack class. As such you’re going to have to run a plugin conflict test to find out what the offending plugin is.

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

Alex that worked!!! Thank you so much for your help!!!

I did what you suggested and the Jetpack activated without any error. After that I activated all plugins again and then I tried to publish the page with the posts without error message!

I hope not to have any problem like this after that.

Thank you again so much! :-)
