fatal error after update page builder

8 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 8 years ago

Just did update to 2.5.8 and site now broken with fatal error or similar message on all pages:

fatal error call to undefined function siteorigin_panels_start_style_wrapper() in /var/sites/l/lattakia.co.uk/public_html/wp-content/themes/mise-en-place/includes/page-builder.php on line 649

Can i go back to a working version of plugin, or do I need ot reinstall a site backup?
if I disable pagebuilder plugin the error goes, but so does the page formatting from page builder of course.

    Hi Glen,

Preface: This is something we basically never recommend as it’s not a good idea to run outdated versions of plugins, but sadly in this instance it’s unavoidable.

Unfortunately, this is a compatibility issue with your theme. I would recommend reporting it to the developers and in the meantime, you’ll sadly have to use an older version of SiteOrigin Page Builder until this issue with your theme is resolved.

You can rollback to a previous version by navigating to WP AdminPluginsInstalled Plugins. Find and deactivate Page Builder by SiteOrigin and then delete it. Click Add New > Upload Plugin and upload/activate this version. How does that look?
