Fade In the Last Sidebar Widget (Vantage Premium)

Hello. I have Vantage Premium installed. I have followed these instructions (http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-themes/how-to-fade-in-the-last-sidebar-widget-in-wordpress-using-jquery/) to have my last sidebar widget fade in. It doesn’t seem to be working. I installed the functions edit on premium/functions page.

Is there something in Vantage that conflicts with this? Should I have installed the function edit somewhere else? Is there anything special that I need to do? Ideally, the sidebar would fade in as displayed here (http://flippedlifestyle.com/) when you scroll down. Thanks.

    Hi

Thanks for running Vantage. Any additions to functions.php should be done in a new functions.php file contained with a child theme. Your changes will be lost the next time you update Vantage otherwise.

Looking at the tutorial posted you’d need to:

    Create a Vantage child theme.
Create a functions.php file in that child theme.
Create wpb_fadein_widget.js and put that file in your child theme.
Then enqueue the above file from your functions.php file.

This is unfortunately a little beyond our support scope. We can certainly point you in the right direction though.
