Facebook Comments not working on pages with Page Builder…

URL: http://straightwoo.com/2016/08/08/love-asteroids/

I know it’s a conflict with FB comments, as I have many posts/pages where I haven’t used the SiteOrigin pagebuilder. I use the plugin, WPadvert FB for FB comments and have no issues otherwise. This is also something that has failed or stopped working in the last week or so. Original URL as posted above was showing comments on the post page, but now no longer does. Please advise. :)

    Hi Lee

Thanks for posting. Sorry we weren’t able to reply sooner. Have you made in progress?

    Hi Andrew, unfortunately not. :(

I did try what you suggested on another post but had no joy. Any idea why FB comments don’t seem to operate with page builder??

    Hi, I Work Here

I just tried this plugin and seem to be ok for FB comments on PB pages:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/facebook-comments-plugin/

Is that the plugin you’re using?

    fb-comments-pb

    Hey Andrew,

This is the one I use:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/comments-from-facebook/

Lots of people use this one, as not every version of WP FB comments works, gets updated, etc. etc.

    Thanks again

    Hi, I Work Here

It’s worth trying the plugin I suggested above, it’s nicer in my opinion, better options etc.

The plugin you’re using works for me too, I inserted it using the provided shortcode in Text widget. How are you inserting it?

    Hey Andrew,

If I put the other plugin, I guess I risk losing all of the prior comments, no? Not something I’d like to risk.

With the version of FB comments I use, you don’t have to add them to each page – it’s automatically there, as you enable/disable on each individual post/page/etc.

If you let me know where that shortcode is, I’ll try adding it in a text widget and see if that works.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for your feedback. This is the first time I’ve looked at FB comments so I can’t say whether there would be any impact on data. I doubt it, the data is stored with Facebook. The shortcode I discussed is listed on the plugin’s options page. At this point, it might be worth disabling all plugins besides Page Builder and your FB comments plugin and testing from there.
