Extra CSS to remove featured image from blog posts no longer works

Hi,

Previously, I asked here how to remove featured images from blog posts when the common plugins don’t work.
I then got the following code to enter as Extra CSS in the theme customizer:

.single #main article .entry-content {
padding-right: 0;
width: 100%;
}

.single #main article .img_container img {
display: none;
}

This worked well for a while but since today, the featured images again show up in the blog posts (as can for example be seen here: https://www.agbbouw.nl/projecten/verbouwing-tot-kaasmakerij/, where the featured image is visible under the photo gallery).
How can I fix this?

Best,

Mandy

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Mandy,

    That’s odd. Plugins that hide featured images should work without issue in Vantage as we use the standard method of displaying the featured image. Hm, oh. That’s not the normal output of the featured image. I see you’re using a child theme, did you change how the featured image outputs? I would recommend reverting this change as that will allow for those plugins to work or alternatively remove the featured image code on your post templates. Regardless, I would recommend updating Vantage as you’re using an older version of the theme.

    If you would rather go with the CSS route, I’d like to help, but unfortunately, this is beyond the scope of the support we’re able to offer on our free forums. There is a fair amount of custom work involved.

    We do offer this level of support to our premium users, so if you’d like to upgrade to SiteOrigin Premium, then I can help you over email support.

    If you’d prefer not to upgrade to SiteOrigin Premium, then you can hire a WordPress developer from Codeable. They’ll charge you an hourly rate for any work done.
