Extra block above buttons when using post loop widget in page builder

When I place a page loop into a widget area on page builder, it cause my buttons used in a hero or headline widget to place an extra colored box on top of the button. The box is the same color as the button. If I remove the post loop widget, the boxes disappear. Not sure how to fix this.

    Hi Rmanuel,

That’s strange. Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?

It only occurs if I place a post loop in widget area. The work in progress is at foodvendingprofits.com

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Rmanuel,

Thanks. I can’t seem to find the source of this issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? I know this happens when the post loop widget is used but it’s possible something else is causing that conflict.

You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

    Hi,

I went through and deactivated all non site-origin plugins and cleared my cache but the problem still persists. The only way I can stop it is if I delete the post loop widget from the widget area.

    Thanks fir for your help.

    Hi Rmanuel,

Thanks for trying. Would it be possible for you to send me an export of the linked page? To export a page, please open up the linked page in the editor and click the Layout button in the Page Builder toolbar. Then click import/export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as WeTransfer (no email is required).

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Rmanuel,

Thanks. I’ve tried the provided layout and it’s working without issue for me. This suggests there’s a post that’s being output via the Post Loop widget and that post is causing this issue. This issue is likely as a result of an unclosed anchor. The easiest way to work out which post it is problematic would be to temporarily set one as a draft and if the issue remains, a public that post and then set another one as a draft. Keep doing this until this issue stops occurring.

    Hi,

It was definitely a test post I created that was causing the conflict. I deleted the post and everything is working fine.

    Thanks for your help.
