External stylesheets using @import

Hello. I am using the Page Builder by SiteOrigin plugin & SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle for the front page of my site which uses a child theme of Hueman. My WP version, theme, & plugins are all up to date. I am also using multisite install.

I am running into an issue where my SiteOrigin Widgets are loading all my fonts via external stylesheets using @import.

I do not recall this being the case before this weekend and am wondering if I can simply delete files like “https://blog.xbydesign.biz/wp-content/uploads/sites/9/siteorigin-widgets/sow-headline-default-38dcd560ed3c.css”.

There are 10 of these type files in this directory. Please advise.
Thanks in advance.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Nikki,

Those stylesheets are generated and stored for performance-related reasons. Specifically, so the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle doesn’t have to regenerate its CSS each page load.

The font imports are importing the Google Font stylesheet – it’s what loads for the font for the best overall compatibility.

While you can delete these stylesheets, I wouldn’t recommend them for above outlined reasons.
