Exporting content for use in Classic Editor

How can I export page builder content for importing to the classic editor? Or will just de-activating page builder populate the content to the classic editor?

Thanks,
Chris

    Hi Chris

    Thanks for reaching out.

Is the Classic Editor the final destination for your Page Builder content?

Hi Andrew – Yes it will be.

    Thanks,

    Hi Chris

    Thanks for your reply.

You can get a preview of how the page will render without Page Builder by deactivating the plugin. Things like Full-Width Stretched rows that use JavaScript won’t be full-width.

If you’d like to proceed, click the Revert to Editor button. That’ll move your content back into the Classic Editor.

Thanks Andrew – But that doesn’t seem to work.

Here’s the SOPB content before taking that step:

    Here’s the result after:
    https://www.screencast.com/t/0wzCvgGSw (Text editor)

    Any other ideas?

    thanks,
    Chris

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for the screenshots. The results are correct. The shortcodes visible in the Visual tab allow your content to be moved back into Page Builder should you wish. The contents of the Text tab is what will be outputted. If you’d like to just render the contents of the Custom HTML widget then I’d move back into Page Builder, copy that content, revert to editor, in the Text tab clear all contents and then paste the contents of the Custom HTML widget.

OK, that’s what I was trying to avoid as there’s 120 pages for the site.

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Thanks for your reply.

Text and Custom HTML widgets are unique in users might want that content to be reverted on its own. We have to ensure that content can go back into Page Builder if Revert to Editor was accidentally clicked. We also have to do everything we can to make sure the page maintains as much of its structure as possible without Page Builder activated which is why the page layout markup reverts with the content. I’m, unfortunately, not aware of a method to extract widget content and revert that into the Classic Editor without Page Builder markup.
