Hi,
is there a way to convert/export a page builder page to normal html?
As I understood, it is not possible to revert to the regular editor without loosing all the page builder content.
I’m completely new to page builder and first I would like to thank you for your great work! Everything seems so well thought-through.
At the moment I’m stuck with the give plugin (for recieving donations), which seems to be incompatible with page builder. Since it’s a page for a single event, that will not be changed later, further editing with page builder would not be needed.
Thank you and a happy new year
Hi Thomas,
Unfortunately, it’s not currently possible to export Page Builder data to HTML / CSS / JavaScript. :(
Can you please clarify the plugin you’re having issues with? I’ll log it as a compatibility issue so, hopefully, we can resolve the compatibility issues in the future.
Hi Alex,
Thanks for answering. The plugin is called Give: https://wordpress.org/plugins/give/
Hi Thomas,
I just tried Give and was able to use it without issue.
Can you please elaborate on the issues you’re having and why you think SiteOrigin Page Builder is causing them? This should hopefully allow us to replicate it and in turn, fix them.
Hi Alex,
Did you connect it to Paypal?
I made 2 pages, one with and one without page builder, nothing else on the page. Turned off all other plugins, even switched from the child theme back to Vantage. Only the page without page builder is showing up, the other keeps loading without an end.
Hi Thomas,
No, I used default settings. I just tried PayPal and it works for me also. :(
To clarify, how are you adding the shortcode to the page? Via a SiteOrigin Editor widget? Try changing to a text widget. If that doesn’t help, try disabling “Automatically add paragraphs”.
Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?
Hi Alex,
Before I used the Give-Widget. Now tried with SiteOrigin Editor and WP Text, "Automatically add paragraphs“. is disabled. Nothing changed.
This is the shortcode I used: [give_form id="158" show_goal="true" show_content="above" show_bar="true" display_style="onpage" float_labels="enabled"]
The address of the non Page Builder page is: http://dpdn.synology.me/test/give1/
The address with page builder: http://dpdn.synology.me/test/give2/
Hi Thomas,
I just tried the Give Widget and didn’t have any issues with it so I’m not too sure what’s going on there but your issue with the shortcode is due to the usage of:
If you remove that parameter, it’ll work without issue. You’ll need to manually ensure that the Give shortcode is at the top of the page.
Hi Alex,
Yes, working. That’s incredible, you guys are really awesome!
– What do you mean by "ensure that the Give shortcode is at the top of the page“? I put it in the middle of the page in a text widget inside a layout editor widget. Worked even there.
Thanks again for this standard of support
Hi Thomas,
Preface: I actually made a mistake. I meant put the give widget at the bottom.
Oh? That’s what show_content does, it allows you to move the content around so I just presumed you wanted that. Oh, well, as long as it works now.
:)
