Existing Page is Not Working

Hello,

For my business I am trying to create a page with a layout and function where there are categories at the top of the page and the products listed below the categories. For the function of the page, when a viewer clicks on one of the categories it should filter the below products. However, what I am finding is that I am unable to use the existing page layout function as described in the product description. Please advise.
