I would like to list only certain post categories in my post archives. Right now, I get posts from all categories. I have looked in existing threads but nothing appears to help. I tried the plug in: No Sub-Category Posts in Loop, but it does not work in my site.
In the link below, I would like to exclude all those posts that do not have a featured image. Those posts have a specific category that should not appear to the public when they click on the archives widget.

Apologies for the delay.
There, unfortunately, isn’t any easy way of handling this from within theme settings. From within Page Builder you can use our Post Loop widget to build a query but that’s just for the page in question, it wouldn’t stop users from clicking a category link and browsing normal archives.
The plugin route, if you can find the right one, is the easiest solution to resolve. You could perhaps try a plugin like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/ultimate-category-excluder/ and put all of the posts you want to exclude in a category to identify them. Another way might be to find a plugin that can exclude posts based on a tag and then add a unique tag to all the posts that you want to exclude.
Another way forward would be to reach out to the developers at Codeable.io and have them build you a child theme with archive conditionals that remove posts based on custom conditions.
