EventOn Calendar

11 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 11 years ago

Hi, I realize EventOn has come up before, but I recently have installed it with the help of the author. Everything actually except for the widgets. Upon adding either of the widgets to the site, the site becomes unviewable. As in, it will not actually display anything. Removing the widgets allows the site to display normally again.
The author was not able to figure it out, what information could I provide to help, or will this be something the plugin author needs to address?

Follow-up to this issue, I am able to use the event list view on its own page Pages -> Add New -> Events, and actually works with the Page Builder Home theme.

Upon further examining the compatibility issue it seems that the short code for the widget does not work.

When you insert the widget and edit it, it asks for two things, the name of the widget to display in the sidebar, and the short code for the calendar. If I input the name and short code, my main page does not appear at all. If I take the short code out, but leave the widget name, the page displays properly, and in the sidebar the widget name displays fine.

So how do we figure out why inserting the widget short code is breaking the site?

    Thanks again!

I have asked the author to email you, but am not sure that he will. If he does not, can you please help? I will try to provide whatever information you need.

I’ll keep an eye out for the mail. I do have this logged at a ticket from some time ago. At this point our small team is unfortunately too stretched to investigate this without drive from the plugin author. A fix was made to Page Builder some time ago to handle a jQuery UI conflict between the two plugins. This is now a new issue.
