Error with Visual Composer

We have experienced a number of errors with Vantage when we are using Visual Composer and the possible extra addons for this.
ESPECIALLY then there is a problem with Videos
The “TS Video YouTube” addon (VC Extentions) do not function correctly.
On the webpage as mentioned in the issue URL below, then notice the video on the right.
It is very important for us to have this fixed, at we have an active website with 700 pages and videos on most the pages, that do not function now.
(We have also experienced errors when using the HTML addon with embedded content.)

    Thanks for reaching out.

    Please, could you temporarily switch a default WordPress theme like Twenty Fifteen and confirm the problems you’re seeing are unique to Vantage.

    (If the errors are unique to Vantage then please, send further information on what you’re seeing for each error so we can try diagnose further. )

    We have also tested with Twenty Fifteen and Twenty Ten and SWIFT and OTHERS and ALL Visual Composer elements are funtioning correctly.

    USING VANTAGE – the free version, then there are only few problems, BUT especially the latest PREMIUM version, then we have discovered, that a number of Visual Composer elements AND also regarding “All in One”, “Ultimate Addons” and “Visual Composer Extensions” DO NOT function correctly.

    A simple element, that we use on a daily basis is HTML – and we have for months had to use “WP Text” as the element to do with HTML.

    We are affraid that the many errors that VANTAGE makes are too extensive for you to solve fast. Off course we are not happy, as we have been using Vantage for more than a year on a number of sites – and we have also bought 3 licenses for the Premium version, and now we have to start all over with another theme.!!!!

    We have been asking around – in the matter of this issue.

    We have been working in the Vantage theme for a year and it seems to be a good “Stand alone” theme. However, then the pagebuilder inside Vantage did not meet all our needs, so we integrated Visual Composer (VC) to have more types of content elements to choose from. For months it seemed all fine, but then various elements , one by one, stoped to function or to malfunction.

    Due to lack of experience , we thought that it was maybe some of the other plugins we use, that caused the problems – so we just started to use other of the possible VC elements, When we updated to the latest version of Vantage , we realized that it was the theme Vantage that caused conflicts. To be sure in this matter, we made a test website with only Vantage and VC, and then one by one, changed to another theme. All other themes we have tested show no errors at all.

    Conclusion, as we see it now, is that the Vantage theme comes with its own proprietary page builder and is developed around that page builder. So we assume that, if not all, then most of the problems come from there.

    In general, we have been advised, that VC should not be used with themes that include their own page builder – as problems are just waiting to happen. (AND this is exactly what we have experienced),

    As we see it, then SITEORIGIN should consider to inform openly about above mentioned issue, so that other webmasters will not end up in the same situation. It has for us has been an expensive experience in wasted working hours and concerns.

    Vantage does not include a Page Builder. WordPress.org guidelines are very strict about the split between theme and plugin functionality. Vantage is a completely functional theme without our separate Page Builder plugin.

    They are completely separate. Vantage does not in any way need SiteOrigin Page Builder to function.

    We’ve only very recently begun working on this problem. Please, allow us to conclude the troubleshooting process. We’ve had users make use of Vantage and Visual Composer for years. I’m really keen to assist and help you through this process. I stepped away for a couple of hours and am back at work. I’ll check our email shortly.
