Suddenly when we try to edit the pages on the site I get this error: The site is experiencing technical difficulties. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.
We are hosting on wpengine and using the create theme. I tried disabling the theme to check if there was a conflict, but I still get the issue. The only time I don’t get the issue is when I disable the siteorigin page builder, of course then all my content is ruined.
There was an update so I tried to update and hoped it would help, but it did not. Is this something you’ve ever seen before. The pages look fine on the front end: https://tegpr.com/ Just can’t actually edit any of them.
Hi Firefly
Thanks for posting your question.
This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
Ah sorry, it was google analyticator throwing an error. Resetting that plugin did the trick. Thanks!
Super, that’s good news, glad to hear you’ve made progress :)
