error message within widget bundle

9 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 9 years ago

Good morning, for some reason when i have the widget bundle installed i am getting this error

Warning: is_file(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans:300.less) is not within the allowed path(s): Private Snippet in Private Snippetwp-contentpluginsso-widgets-bundlebaseinclessc.inc.php on line 82

it doesnt seem to matter which theme is loaded and it appears on the web page as well as when you are doing a live editor update.

the site is hosted on a windows based platform, the current theme is zerif lite, there are no google font plugins loaded so i am not sure what it is referencing.

Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Dave,

Thanks for letting us know about this. I’ve logged this as a bug in our issue tracker and we’ll try and prevent this sort of error from appearing. Another option would be to disable WP_DEBUG, which will require editing your wp-config.php.

This issue is basically where your hosting provider has prevented you from using a certain function from “fetching” data from third party site. I would recommend contacting your hosting provider and requesting that this restriction is lifted as there’s no real harm in doing so.
