I’m having issues on my site ( https://spintektools.com/ ), when the page refreshes after signing up for the newsletter through the mailchimp newsletter signup form in the footer, the page layout shifts to the left of the page. The code validator gives me an error that there is an element style in the body
Is this normal or might be the cause of my problem?
Thank you for your help!
Hi Louisespin,
The validator error you’re referring too is perfectly normal for SietOrigin Page Builder powered pages.
Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
Hi Alex,
Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately even when deactivating all the non site origin plugins I still get the same error. Is there any other way to see what is happening?
Thanks!
Hi Louisespin,
To clarify, outside of the HTML validation message, is there any reason why you suspect this issue is related to SiteOrigin Page Builder? I ask as the MailChimp form isn’t being added by Page Builder and I can’t really see a connection between the two.
Hi Alex,
No, other than the HTML validation message there is no reason to think it’s related to SiteOrigin page builder.
We were trying to troubleshoot and exclude that the problem was created by other plugins. After trying all sort of things we were able to finally solve the problem that was, in fact, related to the Mailchimp plugin and the grid of our theme.
