eNews Subscription form

Hi, I have installed PageBuilder plugin and I’d like to add an eNews subscritpion form on my website homepage and blog page – not into a side bar but – directly into SiteOrigin Slider or to another layer/part of page body. Would you please provide any guidance? Many thanks! Ks.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ksena

    Thanks for reaching out.

If your form has a shortcode option then it might be possible to insert the shortcode into the Content field of a frame inside the SiteOrigin Slider widget. It’s something you’d need to test to see if it’s possible.

Alternatively, you can insert a Text widget into a Page Builder row and insert a shortcode into that. Or, if your form has its own widget then you can insert the widget directly into Page Builder.

The blog page is a little tougher. Once you’ve set your posts page in SettingsReading no content other than your posts will render on that page. One way around this is to deselect your posts page at SettingsReading and instead build your posts page yourself. This can be done in Page Builder by inserting a blog widget. Blog widgets come in the form of the SiteOrigin Carousel widget, part of our Widgets Bundle OR plugins like Query Wrangler: https://wordpress.org/plugins/query-wrangler/. Once you’ve found a widget to insert your blog posts you’re then free to add another Page Builder row or column and insert your form where required. If you’re using our Vantage theme you can make use our Post Loop widget to insert your blog posts.

    Hi Andrew,

yes, I do have a JavaScript code and I would like to insert it into the
Content field inside the SiteOrigin Slider widget just as you have advised.
However I can see no such a field – where can I find it and add a text/code? There are just 2 sections – Slider frames and Controls. Nothing more. Can you please advise how to proceed?

    My second

    Thanks, Ksena

    Hi again, Andrew,

my second question is reg building my blog posts using the SiteOrigin
Carousel widget. When I test it, it seems I can't build any customized layout but to select a default one where posts are being displayed in a simple way – just an image and post title. But I would like to have shown a bigger image, post title, category name, date, post excerpt and read more button as well (like attached pictures below).

Is this possible with the Page Builder?

    Thanks! Ksena

    Hi, I Work Here

Sure. In the SiteOrigin Slider widget, slides are called frames. Within each frame is a content section with a Text tab. You can try insert it there.

The SiteOrigin Carousel widget only offers the carousel layout, it’s specific to that look and feel. Page Builder includes a widget called the Post Loop widget. Unfortunately, the Post Loop widget relies on the theme to provide layouts. Because this feature is a bit hidden it’s only really SiteOrigin and a couple of authors that offer templates for this widget in their themes.

You might try the following plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/widgets-for-siteorigin/. This plugin adds widgets to the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle plugin. It includes a Blog widget.
