Emoticons not converting to graphic in editor

I am using siteorigin editor for my post and inserted a smiley face but it does not convert to graphic. I read through other posts from people and followed suggestions to 1) ensure that the right option is checked in settings 2) insert space before and after :) 3) disable plugins to see if any plugin is causing conflict. None of that helped.

I also have visual editor installed which converts :) face into graphic. Any idea why this won’t work in siteorigin editor ?

    Hi Reachbgk,

    Thanks for letting us know about this. I’ve logged this as a potential bug in our issue tracker. We’ll investigate this as soon as possible and try come up with a fix. It should be noted that Emoji (which is different in WordPress) works as expected. Obviously, it’s not as easily but it’s something.
