Embedded video clutter

Okay, anyone have ANY idea why my self hosted embedded video has clutter at the bottom?
It looks fine when I preview it in the widget. It’s only in the page that it does this. At first I thought it might be a browser issue but I’ve tested it on Edge and Firefox and still get it. It plays fine but it is ugly and annoying to the eyes.

Thoughts?

Here is a screencap with a callout to the problem icons.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Dniezby

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?

    Thanks

Hmm…Can I not edit a reply? I would post the link BUT if I can’t delete a post I don’t want to make it public…How can I reply to this safely? I posted a screencap with the original message but for some reason it didn’t show up. I’ll try here too.

Okay, screencap below (if it works)

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for the login details, I’ve made them private. The forum is public support space. We offer email support as part our SiteOrigin Premium offering where we can share private login details. Without inspecting the page and source code there isn’t any way of identifying where the extra styles are coming from.

Please, try running a plugin conflict test. If you have a caching plugin, clear it and then temporarily deactivate all non-SiteOrigin plugins, does the issue persist? That’ll let you know if the issue is coming from a plugin.

I’ll check those plugins in the mornin. If that doesn’t fix my issue, I’ll post the link and see if we need to go further.

I have elementor plug-in and thanks to siteorigin I’ll be removing that set of plugins.

Ill check back back on tomorrow. Th is for turning this message private.

    Hi, I Work Here

Sounds like a plan. A plugin conflict test is really quick and a great first step. It lets you know if there is a working baseline from which to run tests on.

Just to confirm, I haven’t made the entire thread private, just the message with login details. I’ll delete that message now to be sure. Cheers :)

Okay, Andrew…I’m officially baffled. I literally deactivated EVERY plugin and that visual clutter still appears. I turned them back on, one by one and still no changes.

It ONLY appears though, when I use my hosted video. If I use a Youtube video, it doesn’t show up. Problem is, if I host it via youtube I can’t customize the thumbnail and it allows visitors to see other videos after the video ends. I don’t want that. I want them to watch the video and be directed to continue on the site below the video.

So, if you want to check out the site, it’s https://ugrowfood.com/earn-with-us

    I’ll keep digging.

Well, I couldn’t figure out the problem. I had to use a different widget. BUT everything is working find now. Thanks anyway.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Thanks for the feedback :)

If you ever run a plugin conflict test in the future; if the issue doesn’t resolve with all other plugins deactivated then the test has failed and you can reactivate all plugins in one go.

Glad to hear you’ve progressed with another widget. Sometimes seeking an alternative solution is a good way to keep moving forward.

If any questions arise in the future, please open another support thread and we’ll take a look.

    Cheers for now.
