Hi Miles,
Have you made any major changes to the widget? Could you forward me a contact email to [email protected]?

Hi Miles,
I think I know what’s going on but I need to see the markup of the email to confirm. Could you please forward it to [email protected]?

Hi Miles,
I’m unable to replicate this issue with the default settings. I need more information to be able to fix this issue. Could you please send me an export for this widget? To do this open up the page with the widget, and click prebuilt layouts. Then click import / export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as teknik.io.
Also, a forwarded copy of the contact form email would be huge in telling me what the issue is. Please forward said email to [email protected].
Just to be sure, this could also be plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
HI Alex,
I have the same site origin form on another site, and this uses to work perfectly. I've noticed over the last 24 hours that it sometimes fails to send emails outright, and i get the below message. This is without even entering the admin panel so I have not changed anything on this other site.
Yesterday this sent several email, then didn;t, then did, and now today it isn't. This does suggest the issue is external.
I will forward you the email in the condition it comes through in if it ever actually sends one again, ans will try disabling plugins as you suggested. Thanks for your help. Are the issues im experiencing common with the SO form at the moment?
– Error sending email, please try again later.
Hi Miles,
Unfortunately, you’re the first person to report issues like this. Just confirm, the other site is hosted on the same server correct? It’s possible this is a local mail issue – I’m not saying it is, just saying it’s possible. Can you please check your logs (specifically mail, and PHP error logs) for any suggestion as to what could be causing this issue.
Hi Alex,
It just started working and send the correct message info ! Very odd. The only think I fiddled with was a plugin called Contact Form 7. I disabled it, deleted it, re-installed it and activated it. Messages still did not send properly with the SO Form, but then they spontaneously did. I have no idea whats going on but thank you for you support. I will continue to use
SO widgets as generally they are excellent.
I will get back on touch if the issue comes back !
Hi Miles,
Very glad to hear that you were able to resolve this issue. Please let me know if this issue comes up again and I’ll work with you to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
Hi Alex – have you got any idea why the DROP DOWN box is short, (see attached image) or visit

Hi Miles
That is due to a theme style. You can fix this with some custom CSS. If you navigate to AppearanceCustom CSS, you’ll get our custom CSS editor. Just add the following code.
You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.
thanks for that but the form is not working again. it just will not send any proper data. Its doing the same thing – pic attached.
Hi Miles,
Could you please forward that email to [email protected]?

Hi Miles,
Could you please forward that email to [email protected]? I know the email doesn’t look right but I really need to see it.
I cant get the email to go to that address
Hi Miles,
Okay, that’s strange but there’s an easy workaround for it. I need you to send me the source of the email. To do this please follow the guide in the image below.
Private Snippet
Hi Miles,
Just to confirm – so only the headers of the email were visible? So does that mean the email being sent to you is completly blank?
Hi,
Yes, blank email
Hi Miles,
Just to confirm. The plugin conflict test didn’t provide any results outside of Contact Form 7?
no
Hi Miles,
Could you try disabling Contact Form 7 again to see if it fixes the issue?
Hi. tried that. No change
Hi Miles,
Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:
[email protected]
Just navigate to UsersAdd New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the Send Password field so we receive the details.
Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.
