Elements on my Website Not Responsive

Hello. First of, I think your plugin is great and will give you a great review on WordPress shortly. I have an issue with making the elements on my site responsive. First I have Shapely theme from colorlib and the theme is responsive, but they say sometimes the elements may not be. So the images, text, YouTube videos, logo and menu are not responsive on mobile cell phones. In tablet mode the smaller videos are also all the way to the left on the main page. Can someone please help me out how to get these elements to be responsive? I watched a few videos on how to do this and they said you need to auto the widths of images/text/video, etc. but it is not working or I am not doing it correctly.

{ width: auto
max-width: 100%
}

I add to code CSS in the first two elements on the home page and no luck. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.
