    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Dasigna,

Thank you for letting us know about this issue and that thread. Regrettably, this is the first we’ve seen of this issue as it wasn’t posted on our forum or reported to us over email (our main support channels). We’ll try and resolve this as soon as possible and I’m very sorry for any frustration this may have caused you.

    Hi, I Work Here

One of our developers is working on a change that should resolve this issue. I can’t say when he’ll be done though.

In the mean time, you could use the SiteOrigin editor widget in Elementor. It does everything the WordPress Text widget does, and some more.

… thanks for the suggestion – but that does not help for the many existing elementor text widgets. you dont really want us to change them all to the siteorigin widget – dont you?

so quick resolving the issue should be the far better approach :-)

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Dasigna,

Okay, so a quick status update. To resolve this issue we’re making major changes to how we’re adding TinyMCE to pages. This change is honestly a massive one and as a result, there’s a large potential for compatibility issues. It’ll take some time to iron out all of the related issues.

An example of such an issue is that you (as of writing) can’t use any plugin that makes use of the Widgets Bundle Framework and Elementor at this time if you still have SiteOrigin Page Builder activated – Elementor will never load. This means that you’re only able to use the base SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle and none of the additional widgets added by Livemesh, Widgets for SiteOrigin, etc.

You also must be using WordPress 4.8. This will definitely not be the case when the update is released.

You cannot use the Add Media editor functionality with the SiteOrigin Editor at this time. You can however still use the Add Media functionality included in the text editor.

Due to the above issues likely not being a major concern for you, you should be able to use the beta version of SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle without any real issues. You can download it here. To install it please navigate to WP Admin > Plugins > Installed Plugins, find and deactivate SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle and then delete it. Click Add New > Upload Plugin and upload/activate the so-widgets-bundle.1.9.4-beta1.zip

Please understand that this is an in (very untested) development version and other issues may occur.

    hi alex,

thanks for your info and efforts.

so just to clear out – if using
    – elementor
    – wp 4.8
    – siteorigin widgets bundle but NO siteorigin page builder

    everything should work?

    – but if using livemesh addons for elementor in addition it will cause elementor not to work.

    right?

maybe … will try anyway and see what happens :-)

    thanks so far.

    o.k. 1.9.4beta1 tested…

no issues so far, even with livemesh addon for elementor active.
elementor text editor behaves normal – great :-)

only persisting issue is the extend of the native 300px width of elementor-editor-wrapper to 400px.
still dont know why this is done – fixing it within css meanwhile. still to be fixed by siteorigin!! please.

great work so far – thanks guys.

    Hi Dasigna,

    > everything should work?

    Correct.

    – but if using livemesh addons for elementor in addition it will cause elementor not to work.

No. You can use Livemesh. You’re not able to use Livemesh if you using Page Builder + Widgets Bundle Beta + plugin that uses editor form field (like Livemesh) + Elementor

As for your last response, that’s purely an oversight – it’s intended for SiteOrigin Page Builder but we weren’t specific with the selector. That’ll be fixed in the full update.

    absolutely great – thanks alex.

    anticipating the full update :-)
