Hi
I’m in charge of editing a website done with SiteOrigin Page Builder in 2017 on a local server (MAMP).
There are 2 pages on this website, both made with SiteOrigin Page Builder (legal mentions and landing page).
When trying to modify the landing page, only the default WordPress editor shows up, and it looks empty (while the page isn’t).
After searching for a bit, I managed to get the Page Builder working ( i could add columns, etc.) but i can’t see nor edit the content of the page.
I followed the procedure of switching to a default theme and deactivating each plugin one by one, then installing Classic Editor and reactivating the SiteOrigin plugins. I also tried the
define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false);in the wp-config.php
Theme : FoodHunt by ThemeGrill
When I activate the default theme, I cannot see any content on the landing page, but the issue on the Builder isn’t fixed.
Same thing happens when I deactivate SiteOrigin Widget Bundle.
I didn’t reactivated the other plugins, so I can only assume the issue comes from SiteOrigin, the theme or WordPress itself.
Regards
Hi Orvaloris
Please, can you confirm that you’ve tested with a default theme activated and all non-SiteOrigin deactivated at once? Can you find a working baseline in that state?
Hi Andrew, thanks for the quick reply.
I confirm that I tested with a default theme ( Twenty Nineteen ) and all non-SiteOrigin deactivated at once, and it doesnt work.
I just noticed the other page works just fine, i can edit it perfectly
It works also with my theme, and the different plugins reactivated. iIt’s just the landing page i can’t edit.
Thanks for confirming. Please, take a screenshot of the issue, upload to imgur.com or similar and send the link.

First image is from “Pages”, the front page isn’t recognize as created with SiteOrigin Page Builder.
Second is the editor looking empty on the landing page, however the content is on the page.
Third is the editor working fine for the legal mentions.
The website was updated lastly in 2018 for your information.
Looking at this site live, are you sure the home page isn’t managed from somewhere else?
The home page is managed via a widget area, see https://docs.themegrill.com/foodhunt/ item 6 Front Page Setup.
Ok, I never saw this way of managing a page before, so I didn’t checked this part.
I checked the source code from the page and saw everything was created with SiteOrigin, that’s why I came here as I thought it was some update that creating a malfunction.
It makes sense for the rest of the things that are working.
Thank you a lot Andrew for the quick answers, i can edit that page now ( using SiteOrigin Page Builder inside the theme widget area ).
Glad to hear you’re making progress. All the best in managing this site.
Cheers :)
