Our editor suddenly no longer has all the options when editing a post. What can we do to set it so that we have all the functions in the WYSIWYG editor view again (see print screens)? We have the pro version 2.31.5 and the bundle version 1.67.2

This is our free support forum. Replies can take several days. If you need fast email support, please purchase a SiteOrigin Premium license.

    Hi, I Work Here

Hi, thanks for getting in touch.

If you have an active SiteOrigin Premium license, please email our premium support desk at [email protected]. If you have the SiteOrigin Premium plugin activated, you can check your license status at SiteOriginPremium License within WordPress.

At Users, perhaps try editing your username to confirm that the “Disable the visual editor when writing” setting has not been enabled.

    Hello Andrew Misplon

Thank you for your reply. First of all: the option “Disable the visual editor when writing” is not active on the customer's user.

We do not have a license ourselves, we are acting on behalf of the customer, who is overwhelmed with the implementation and correction of the error, as he is only a user.

Therefore we are aware (also the customer) that we have longer response times with your support.

What else could be the problem that the editor no longer displays everything (see print screen)?

The customer has the theme PinboardVersion: 1.1.12
    By One Designs in use.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for the update. If the client has an activate SiteOrigin Premium license you can email our premium support desk with the license key.

The forum doesn’t support media but you can upload images to any online location like WeTransfer.com or Imgur, Dropbox or similar and share the link.

It’s possible there is a plugin conflict. You can check for a working baseline by temporarily deactivating all plugins not authored by SiteOrigin. With only SiteOrigin plugins activated, does the issue persist?

    Hello Andrew

Thank you for your continued support.

After further investigation, we have determined that our client most likely does not have an active SiteOrigin Premium license. This explains why we couldn’t locate a license key in the WordPress backend as expected.

In the process of updating all plugins and the theme, we’ve noticed something interesting:
There now appear to be two different editor interfaces depending on the page.

We’ve recorded a short video to illustrate this behavior: [https://app.screencast.com/m2fw8n9rDby1I].

    Here’s what we observed:

On pages without the note “SiteOrigin Page Builder”, the editor behaves as expected and offers more editing options.

On pages with the “SiteOrigin Page Builder” note, the editor interface is limited and offers fewer options.

    Could you help us understand:

When and why these two different views appear?

Under what conditions the limited editor is shown?

And whether this behavior is expected when using SiteOrigin Page Builder with the Pinboard theme?

Thanks again for your time and guidance.

    Best regards,
    Markus

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Markus

    Thanks for the update.

The opening portion of your video shows buttons from https://wordpress.org/plugins/tinymce-advanced/. I don’t recall off the top of my head which settings need to be enabled in the Advanced Editor Tools settings but that’s where you can adjust the setup to output the plugin’s buttons into the SiteOrigin Editor Widget.

    Hello Andrew

Thank you for your reply and for pointing us in the right direction regarding the Advanced Editor Tools plugin.

    To better understand the setup:
Is there a guide or documentation available that explains which settings need to be enabled in order to display the plugin’s buttons within the SiteOrigin Editor Widget?

Ideally, we’re looking for a walkthrough or example – possibly with screenshots – so we can reproduce the correct setup for our client.

    Thanks again for your support!

    Best regards
    Markus

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Markus

In the Advanced Editor Tools settings, enable the Classic Editor tab and ensure the buttons needed are on the first row or if you need the second row, ensure the Toolbar Toggle button is on the first line.

    Hi Andrew,

Thank you very much for your tip – we successfully implemented it! The adjustment in the advanced editor tools produced exactly the desired result. We hope that this solution will continue to be available in future updates of the SiteOrigin Page Builder Bundle.

Thank you again for your quick and straightforward help!
