Editing a page will load old text information into the edit?

9 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 9 years ago

Hey guys

Not sure what I’ve done but can’t seem to find the root of the problem.
Once I have activated the Page Builder plugin the my static page will be overwritten with an old revision instead of the current text I have there.
I will also overwrite the excerpts shown on some of my custom data there.

I’ve tried deleting and re-installing the plugin and nothing helps.

Does anyone know how I can fix this issue? The issue itself is hard to explain too.

Best Regards

    Hi BPHB

This is a new one. Which theme are you using? Perhaps we can start by testing that theme locally and then reporting back?

    I use this theme: http://www.flytonic.com/product/wp-bookit-theme/
It has destinations and hotels listed on FrontPage – the only part that can be manually edited in the editor is the small amount of text next to the search box.

Really can't seem to wrap my brain around why it completely overwrites the excerpts from the text area next to the search box.

Thanks for the info. Page Builder outputs its content via the_content function. It looks like your front page uses a custom template. Unfortunately, Page Builder won’t be able to edit or work within that template if it is automatically pulling information from various sources, which it looks like is.
