Edit widget content in depth, switch to code view?

Hey there,

for some new project i am using your SiteOrigin Page builder (which comes with theme i am using, https://themeforest.net/item/listing-manager-pro-directory-theme-for-woocommerce/20058034?s_rank=17).

Now after imported some demo content i would like to edit some form elements on the my home page. There are shown as widgets inside the page builder when editing this page.

How ever i canĀ“t actually edit this content in depth, for e.g changing the placeholder text file for the form elements

<input type="text" name="filter-keyword" data-ajax-action="/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php" placeholder="Type the phrase" class="form-control" value="" id="a08ddbca-26c8-0498-3850-5649b9e721b5_keyword">

I would like to edit these code files but no chance with your Page Builder? When switching to “raw editor”, make changes to the code switching back to the page builder view and save/publish the page. The Page looks completly messed up.

Now how to do this? Why there is no switch to code view or so that is working? I even tried editing the post content on the databases wp_posts table it self but changes not affect. Really strange.

thanks for your help in advance.

best regards
Roman

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Roman,

    Unfortunately, it’s not possible to directly edit your Page Builder Markup. This is why we hide the standard WordPress tabs as we don’t want to give the impression it’s something you’re able to do. With that said, we do allow people to revert to the basic WordPress editor but that ideally should only be used if you no longer plan on using Page Builder on this page.

    The Page looks completly messed up.

    Please note that there’s currently an issue that prevents the import of previously reverted pages. This will be fixed shortly but please understand that the changes you’re looking to make aren’t possible so once this issue is fixed you still won’t be able to edit the HTML.

    I even tried editing the post content on the databases wp_posts table it self but changes not affect.

    Please don’t directly edit the Page Builder post meta. It’s serialized so by editing it manually you’ll break the data – ideally, this data should only be edited by PHP.
