Since v. 4 of the WP CMS, the “Editor” option in the admin sidebar under “Customize” has been removed. How are we able to update the footer info via the CMS?
If we are unable to have access in the GUI of the CMS online, then how do we edit the footer.php file? Please send us a generic example for us to find where the Copyright logo, year, and organziational name would be located too please.

Hi Andy
As far as I can see the editor hasn’t been removed in the latest update. Perhaps it has been disabled by your host or webmaster – http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-disable-theme-and-plugin-editors-from-wordpress-admin-panel/
In general though, we recommend you use child themes to make any theme changes you need.

If you need someone to build a child theme for you, you could hire someone from Codeable.
For basic things like footer text though, you can change that in the Vantage theme settings – https://siteorigin.com/vantage-documentation/theme-settings/
