Dynamic Height calculation

6 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 6 years ago

I am working on fixing issues across our site, and one of the issues is with the blog section on our home page https://www.crystalstar.com/. If you scroll down to “Holistic Wellness & Health” section you will see two blog images with a lot of space underneath them. Inspecting the elements finds a dynamic height that appears to be calculating the height based on the width of the image – or – based on a square 1 to 1 ratio. Our blog images are more rectangular and are more 2 to 1 ratio.

How can I change this? I’m assuming SiteOrigin JS file is doing the calculation. What can I do to change/overwrite it?

    Hi

    Thanks for reaching out.

It might be best to open a support topic on the WordPress.org Livemesh support forum. https://wordpress.org/plugins/livemesh-siteorigin-widgets/. I took a look over the Post Grid widget settings and I’m not seeing a setting that would be helpful other than choosing the correct image size.

One problem might be lazy loading. Temporarily deactivate Lazy Loading and see if that helps.

Ok, will go over to Livemesh and see what they have to say.

Turning off the lazy Load plugin didn’t make much of a difference. Thanks for your speedy reply.

Thanks. It’s worth doing a quick plugin conflict test when able. Does the incorrect height persist with all plugins deactivated except for Livemesh and SiteOrigin plugins? The test is very quick. Best to clear any caching plugins before deactivating them.
