    WordPress itself has a mechanism for preventing duplicate comments. This only checks for exact text matches. One situation that could still come up is a user writing a comment, pressing submit, then clicking their browser back button editing their comment and resubmitting.

    Were the duplicate comments exact copies of each other? How often did this issue come up?

    Hello Greg. Thanks for the reply. Yes the comments were exact duplicates. It happened a few times now since I started using your theme.

    Something else that just occurred to me, this might be an issue with Ajax comment feature conflicting with another one of your plugins. Can you try disabling this feature.

    Just navigate to Appearance > Theme Settings. Under the Social tab, disable Ajax Comments.

    Ok, so now I won’t have Ajax comments. I guess that is better than having duplicate comments. Can you create a link for the theme that points from the homepage to the comments? Thanks.

    Apologies for the hassle. I’ve logged a bug report for this based on your feedback.

    Vantage could indeed do with a comments link in the post meta. It’s unfortunately a little more than we can hotfix for you right now. I’ve also logged this as a feature request. We check our feature request tags when doing updates.
