Drop Down Menu not Working on Android

By beaulife, 9 years ago. Last reply by emmaingolf, 9 years ago.

Hi,

I have purchased the Premium Vantage Theme for http://goo.gl/ksPhVK, initially the drop down menu was working perfect when viewed on Android devices, but it is not working now using my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000.

What do you think is the cause?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Thank you.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi beaulife

    Thanks for reaching out.

The expected tablet behaviour should be that the drop down menu drops down once the parent menu item is clicked on. Is that not happening?

    Hi Andrew,

Yes it is working now after I removed a conflicting plugin i.e. Grand Flagallery – Photo Gallery Plugin, now the drop down menu is working on my Android devices.

However, I found 2 other issues with this “responsive header menu”, as below:

    (1) The parent menu button that consists of header menu is not working when I rotate my Android device from portrait to landscape, and the header menu is showing in 2 lines due to the menu items. I expect it to be showing the parent menu button (preferred), or showing the header menu in one line (not preferred).

    (2) The parent menu item that consists of header menu is not working when I click on custom menu items listed at the footer, i.e. contact us page. I prefer the parent menu button to be showing on top of the screen.

How can we rectify these two issues?

Thank you while looking forward to your kind reply soon.

      Hi,

I really like Grand Flagallery. Did you find something simular that works with the theme?

      Kind regards,
      Emma

    Hi, I Work Here

    Cool, glad that’s getting better.

    1. Appearance > Theme Settings > Navigation, increase the last setting there, mobile menu breakpoint.

    2. Sorry not following you there. Parent menu items will generate a white arrow to the far right in the mobile menu, clicking on that exposes a new menu screen with the sub menu items in it.
