display Title on post and pages

Hi
I can’t display the titles on posts and pages …
I know there is a major button in the customisation area and in the sidebar while working on posts and pages. They are all marked to show titles …
If I look in the code-part, there I can find the titles like so:

<!--Impressum-->

Any idea what had happened?
The site is still hidden to public, but if you can give me a personal email I can let you in.

    Hi parcel

    Thanks for reaching out.

Do your titles appear exactly as mentioned in the page source?

If so, <!– is the start of a comment meaning that the contents wouldn’t print on the page.

Our free support scope is public, we do offer support via email within our SiteOrigin Premium support scope. If you’d perhaps like to make your site public for a bit, we’d be happy to inspect the issue further. If not, you might start by temporarily deactivating all non-SiteOrigin plugins. If that doesn’t help, are you perhaps using a child theme, if so, try switching to the parent theme.

    ooops…

Hi Andrew, thanks for answering so fast!
I am sorry, this project has gone over a long period of time … I must have changed in the beginning of this project the template-part of content-page and forgot it.
At least you brought me back of commenting things out must be done from a human being – me…

    sorry for taking your time!!!

    Thank you for your advises.

No problem at all, I’m really glad to hear the problem was easy to resolve. That’s great news.

(If you aren’t using a child theme and making code level edits and aren’t using a child theme, you can download a starter child theme from the North documentation Page: Child Theme. If you’re moving from the parent to a child for the first time you can use https://wordpress.org/plugins/customizer-export-import/ to migrate Customizer settings from the parent to the child.)

    Hi Andrew,

yes, I am already using a child theme, I never change a parent theme because I did that once …
Thanks again for your excellent advices!
