Differences in pages between publish and draft post status

5 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 5 years ago

Hi guys,

It’s not the first time that I notice this issue, so I decided to open a thread.

Sometimes happens that the version of a page built with SOPB is different if the page is published or in draft status and/or visited via the actual permalink or the GET version of the URL (which is the one provided by WordPress as preview).

The draft/GETted page seems to be like one or two revisions back.

This issue usually does not exist by visiting the page by its actual slug.

f.eg.

mydomain.com/my-sopb-page-in-draft-status/ -> no issue
mydomain.com/?page_id=1234&preview=true -> shows previous revision

The problem is that usually editors just click the permalink under the title (when using the classic editor) OR the preview button, which leds to the second URL and each time I have to specify “please visit the preview by using the actual permalink”.

Can this be fixed?

    Hi frafor

    Thanks for reaching out.

    I don’t think we’ve encountered this issue before. Do you have any plugins that might be involved? Perhaps a caching or optimization plugin? If possible, it would be helpful to see if the issue persists with only SiteOrigin plugins activated.
