Deleting a page’s pre-loaded theme

7 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 7 years ago

Hi,

I am currently on WordPress.com. I am using the ‘Luxury’ theme made by ‘organic themes’.

I am wanting to custom make a few pages of the website using Site Origin builder. However, when I try to adjust the pages, the ‘Luxury’ template’s pre-loaded theme keeps appearing and I can’t get rid of it.

Is there a way that I can get rid of the Luxury theme’s pre-loaded template and use the Site Origin builder to build on top of it?

I appreciate any help you can give me.

Many thanks.

    Hi Kksimpson06,

Certain themes use completely custom pages that circumvent the traditional page system. When this happens we effectively are unable to edit/alter the page in any way as we rely on that system to work. Unfortunately, this means this isn’t something that can be avoided – SiteOrigin Page Builder cannot be used on those pages. I’m sorry. :(

Your best bet would be to create new pages and link to those pages instead of the theme generated/controlled pages.
