Default WordPress Header on Mobile Device instead of Theme Header

By AugustA, 7 years ago. Last reply by AugustA, 7 years ago.

When looking at the website on a mobile device (iPhone & Samsung S5) the theme header is replaced by the default blue WordPress header / Menu.

I have checked all the theme settings and am at my wits’ end.

Any suggestions ?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi August,

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on? If you need to keep this URL private from other users, just select “Private Reply” on the bottom right of the comment box.

I suspect you may have the Jetpack mobile theme enabled. You can disable it by disabling that specific Jetpack module.

    Hi Alex,

    ok, that was the problem.
I deactivated Jetpack Mobile theme. However then the site was not responsive on mobile devices. I went into the theme settings and deselected “Disable Responsive Layout” (I am not sure why it was selected in the first place). It does work beautifully now, thank you for your help.
