Deactivating and Activating Website Builders

Hi.
I have a website built in WP with SiteOrigin Page Builder. There is another designer who will now take over managing the site and they want to deactivate Page Builder and activate Divi Builder to manage the site as that is the builder they are used to. The question is, by doing that does the site layout and design, etc, break. So is the site gonna have to be rebuilt again from scratch because of a switch over of builders. And, does the same happen when going the other way too, from Divi, or another, to Page builder?

Thank you

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Defunktlemon,

So is the site gonna have to be rebuilt again from scratch because of a switch over of builders.

Kind of. We include functionality (that can be enabled by navigating to WP AdminSettingsPage Builder and open the Content tab – tick everything but the content cache, you’ll need to resave all page builder powered pages) that makes reverting back to WordPress as smooth as we possibly can (certain dynamic elements simply cannot be carried over) but sadly structure cannot be carried over to other Page Builders. This means you may be able to use a really basic version of the page in another builder but it’s sadly not a seamless switch.

And, does the same happen when going the other way too, from Divi, or another, to Page builder?

I’m not too familiar with how Divi handles things so I’m not too sure if they do something similar to us. If they do, you can expect much the same result (a basic version of the page with no page builder structure). If they don’t, you’ll need to start completely over.
