Hello,
I have just installed Vantage, and it’s amazing! In fact, I’m using a child theme, as I need some special functionalities, and I cannot seem to nail one of them.
I have two (main) categories for posts: ‘blog’ and ‘scripta’. (None of the posts belong to both.)
I would like the to customise the “previous post” and “next post” link displayed in single posts:
– I need single posts in ‘scripta’ to display previous/next links that point to the previous/next post that has the same tag (posts in ‘scripta’ have only one tag); and
– I need posts in ‘blog’ to display the links to posts in the same category.
I managed it in other themes by
creating ‘single.php’ and ‘single-scripta.php’ (and adding the relevant function for ‘scripta’ posts to have the correct single template) in the child theme,
and then adding parameters to the “previous_post_link”/”next_post_link” according to the WordPress codex,
— but as Vantage has these defined in template-tags.php and single.php has a different line (”), this method will not work.
Can you please help me around this?
Many thanks in advance.
