Customizer doesn’t load

Hi,

I have the following issue: I want to use the Customizer (Appearance->Customizer), however, it doesn’t load in. It shows the loading page but it’s stuck, so I can’t use it at the moment.
I just updated to WP 4.3, this might be of importance.

    Hi Akos

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

Please, also ensure that all updates have been run at Dashboard > Updates. That can often resolve a problem like this.

Let us know how you come along ;)

Well it seems it just got much more complicated. I checked out my installed plugins on my dashboard and it seems it only shows the ones that are deactivated, so at the moment I don’t know how I would be able to deactivate the ones that are active. (As far as I can see most or all of my active plugins are on my dashboard so can change settings directly there but I don’t know how to deactivate them from there. Also, I don’t seem to find how to add new plugins, the searchbar for that just disappeared, there might be a new feature I don’t know of.)
Now I’m considering my options to go back to a previous version of wordpress. Is that possible to “downgrade”?
In the past I have backed up all of my wp files, would that help if I replaced the current files with those? I’m just not quite sure how much information I would lose if I restored from there in that case.
Please let me know if you have any useful information.

Oh well I just noticed that I can see active plugins if I navigate to “Network Admin” (as I have Multisite wp), but still strange

Cool I updated all of the plugins and now it works!
Sorry for the confusion, the plugin idea was a good point, thanks.

Super, really glad to hear you’ve made progress. Nicely done :)

All the best with your site moving forward.
