Greetings to all,

After looking at this forum for a while in order to find some hints how to customize the resulting page after a search, unsuccessful , I’m here to kindly ask help or pointers for solving my issues.

Customization needed:
a) Translation of english words in Italian (“Search for”, “Previous”, “Next” etc)
b) Format the page (ie: adding some
in order to help site visitor to better understand)
(here I have already applied some indication I’ve got from this forum how to change font-family, but no more of this)
c) Adding some information (like Name’s page, etc)

I am nearly there to end my site (URL attached, pointing to a Search Page) so any help is greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
Alberto Viola

    Hi Alberto

Thanks for reaching out. Apologies for the long delay.

    1. Translation would need to be done using the standard WordPress translation method. It’s a fairly involved process. Here is one possible tutorial on how this is done:

    http://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/how-to-translate-a-wordpress-theme/

We’ve just translated our Page Builder plugin and have covered all the major languages. Vantage is in line to get this treatment. Unfortunately, work hasn’t yet started.

    2. The Vantage search page is unfortunately not customizable at this stage.

The example link used: http://v20.ceruttisrl.it/?s=9000. That page displays one result because your setting at Settings > Reading > Blog pages show at most is set to 1. If you increase that setting to say 10 your search results page will display 10 results before the pagination at the bottom is applied.

    3. Each page in your search results does have a title listed already. For example in your demo page: http://v20.ceruttisrl.it/?s=9000 the single search result listed is “Accessori”.

    Hi Andrew,
first of all thanks for your advices.
Unfortunately they don’t help me entirely. But I understand the matter.

I hope getting news about your translation projects and a support inside the Theme for a search page easy to customize.

    Best regards,
    Alberto Viola

Thanks for your understanding. We’ll hopefully see progress on the translation front in the coming few months.
