    Hi Michael

    Try the following under Appearance > Custom CSS:

    /* Footer */
    #footer-widgets .widget a {
    text-decoration: none;
    }

    I’ve downloaded an facebook icon and linked it to my facebook page. How can i include the icon/link in my header? Ideally i’d like it to be placed to the right of the pages titles in the header. thanks again for helping with my previous issue.

    Hi Michael

    There is no widget area in the menu at this stage. I have however created a child theme for a few clients wanting this.

    https://siteorigin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/vantage-child-logo-in-menu-menu-widget-area.zip

    Download the ZIP and install via Appearance > Themes > Add New: Upload Theme.

    Activating a child theme causes Customizer and Menu settings to all reset. Test the child theme out before redoing these.

    The child theme adds a new widget area at Appearance > Widgets. Add your content there, if it’s code based, used the Text widget.

    You can tweak the positioning of that widget area via Appearance > Editor: edit style.css

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks again Andrew, I’m pretty new to this so forgive my uncertainties – I’ve uploaded the child theme and now realise what you mean when you say that Customizer and Menu settings will be reset. I’ve tested the child theme but can’t see the new widget area – I’m assuming I need to activate the theme before I can see this? Problem is I’m running a bit scared of activating the child theme and loosing all the work I’ve done on my original site. If I activate the child theme and get into a mess can I simply reactivate my original theme and go back to my current position?
    Thanks again for your help

    For sure. You’ll need to activate the child theme before seeing the new widget area. Everything will return to normal if you activate the child theme and then switch back to the parent. No loss of data or settings will occur. Hope that helps.
