Custom Home Page or PageBuilder Home Page Question

Hi Andrew,

In Vantage Premium with PageBuilder: I have some questions about the Custom Home Page feature.

1) Can you describe the difference between the Custom Home Page, and a PageBuilder built home page?

2) Is there any difference is how the url for these is viewed by Google? Are there SEO issues that are different than when using a self-constructed Home with Pagebuilder?

3) What was the rationale for making this a separate administrative area just for that single page?

4) Please describe how to administer the Custom Home Page as if it were a conventional page.

I able to use it, and sort of see how it works. But I want to be sure it makes sense for a client’s site.

    Hi HunterGatherer

    1. None. Appearance > Home Page is a shortcut to Pages > Home > Page Builder tab.

    2. No. The URL for the home page should just be your site URL set at Settings > General.

    3. Ease of access. Assist in the adoption of Page Builder.

    4. Go to Appearance > Home Page and click the “Edit as a page” link at the top.
