Custom CSS

Hi,

I’m a bit new to work with WordPress and Themes.
In general is it customary to add custom CSS to any element in a theme?
Could it not mess up the responsiveness?

Thanks for reaching out.
It really depends on what CSS is being added. Try and set your theme up with Appearance > Theme Settings and Appearance > Customize > Theme Design before looking to Custom CSS for further changes.
