Hello Team
I’m using the latest version of North theme with all your plugins.
When I place a ‘Site Origin Editor’ (text/html) widget on a page you get the title option option which is H3. Will there be an option in the future to have any heading (H1, H2 etc.)
<h3 class="widget-title">test</h3>
If I choose not to use this title box and place my ‘H’ title with the text box does this affect SEO?
Also the North theme has a special ‘Custom Home Page’. Is SEO affected if I choose to build a one page website by using an ordinary page. Is it also possible to use the ‘Custom Home Page’ page to make a one page website, again does this affect the SEO?
I have watched your video.
One Page Website
Thanks

Hi Hunny
I’ve logged your widget title as a feature request but unfortunately due to the nature of the editor widget it’s unlikely it’ll ever be filled. :( I would recommend adding the header via the editor itself. Placing it there will not affect your SEO unless you use a header that doesn’t make sense based on the context.
It’s definitely possible to use the custom home page functionality to build a one-page website. You however need to be careful as if the content to markup ratio is too low you’ll be doing yourself a foul. Please note that I cannot really advise further on SEO matters as it’s out of the scope of support we can offer.
Alex, hmm!!
I checked using the DOM Monster. It didn't look good. I'm not that advanced, but a feel for what was being referred to.

I'm a little perturbed about this. Your video on Youtube suggests it's easy, without any issues. Would your website on the video pass the test?

Hi Hunny,
I have no idea what Dommonstor is so I cannot comment on it
One page websites are easy. I’m just stating that, for SEO reasons, you need to ensure your content to markup ratio is high.
Alex
So how do we do this when most of the markup is page builder created?
Hi Hunny,
We can’t lower the amount of markup (unless of course you use very basic layouts – nothing fancy) nor can control the amount of content you have. I’ve stated the markup ratio comment purely so you keep it in mind when creating your website.
